Dermatology in Seoul
The engine room of K-beauty. Medical-grade devices and doctor-designed programs are how Korean skin actually gets that way — and they're the easiest treatments to fit into any Seoul trip.
Programs, not one-off zaps
Korean dermatology thinks in programs: a diagnosis first, then a sequence — perhaps a lifting device, then pigment laser, then boosters — spaced correctly for your skin. When you send photos and your travel dates, the clinic designs the sequence that fits your window and tells you what results are realistic in it. That plan, with per-session pricing, arrives in writing before you fly.
Ulthera & Thermage
The two flagship tightening devices, often confused and frequently mis-sold. Ulthera (micro-focused ultrasound) reaches the deeper foundation layer to lift; Thermage (radio-frequency) works broadly on skin texture and surface firmness. Some faces benefit from one, some from a staged combination — a diagnosis call, not a menu choice. Both are single-session treatments with effects that build over two to three months and last around a year or more.
Laser programs
Pigment and tone lasers fade sun spots, melasma-related darkening and post-blemish marks over a short series; vascular settings calm redness; resurfacing modes refine pores and fine texture. Multi-session programs can be compressed intelligently for visitor schedules — including "one-day" combination protocols where your skin allows. Sun-care discipline afterward is non-negotiable, and your take-home plan spells it out.
Glow facials & acne care
Medical facials — aqua-peel cleansing, LED, modeling masks, salmon-DNA and vitamin infusions — deliver the immediate, camera-ready glow that books out Seoul clinics every Friday. Acne programs pair extraction and injection care with lasers that target active breakouts and the marks they leave. Gentle enough to schedule the day before an event; effective enough that most visitors book a second session before flying home.
Dermatology FAQ
Is there any downtime?
Facials and boosters: none to a day of redness. Lasers: typically brief redness, with darker spots flaking over several days. Ulthera/Thermage: none visible — some tenderness for a week or two. Your plan flags anything that shouldn't sit right before a flight or an event.
Deeper skin tones — are these treatments safe for me?
Device and setting choice matter for melanin-rich skin, especially with pigment lasers. Tell us your skin tone and history in the consultation form — it's one of the first things the dermatologist screens, and it changes which program you're offered.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most programs. Last-minute works surprisingly often for facials and injectables — send a quick inquiry with your dates and we'll check real availability.
