FAQ

We're here to help

The questions every patient asks — answered plainly. Anything missing? Ask it in a quick inquiry and we'll answer within a day.

Before you fly

How does the process start?

Send your goals, rough dates and (optionally) photos through the free consultation form or WhatsApp. A coordinator replies within 24 hours; a doctor-reviewed plan and written quote typically follow within a few days.

Can I have a video consultation before booking flights?

Photo-based doctor review is standard and usually enough to produce a reliable plan and quote. Video consultations can be arranged for complex or surgical cases — ask your coordinator.

How far in advance should I plan?

Dermatology and non-surgical visits: 2–3 weeks is comfortable. Surgery: 4–8 weeks lets us match the right surgeon and schedule properly. Short-notice trips are often still workable — ask.

Which cities do you serve patients from?

We work primarily with patients from the United States, Canada and Mexico. All coordination is in English today; Spanish support is in preparation.

Safety & clinics

How do I know The Seoul Glow is legitimate?

We are a government-registered international-patient facilitator — registration A-2025-08-01-06516, issued by the Governor of Gyeonggi Province, operating under Roadworks Company, Inc. (business reg. 752-88-02072). We'll show the English certificate to anyone who asks, and you can verify the registration with Korean authorities.

Why don't you publish your partner clinics' names?

Korean medical-advertising rules and our partner agreements reserve clinic names for consultation. Before you pay anything, you receive the clinic's full name, address, license and your doctor's name — the anonymity is only in public marketing, never toward you.

What is "ghost surgery" and how do you prevent it?

It's when a different surgeon than the one you consented to operates after you're under anesthesia — the ugliest known abuse in this industry. Our surgical partners commit to the named-surgeon guarantee in writing, and we verify it with every patient afterward. You may also request operating-room CCTV recording for general-anesthesia surgery, a right under Korean law.

Money & quotes

What does your service cost me?

Nothing. Registered facilitators are paid by clinics at government-capped rates, from their marketing budgets. You pay the clinic's standard price — the quote in your hands is the clinic's own.

What exactly is in the written quote?

The procedure scope, anesthesia type where relevant, required stay in Seoul, follow-up schedule, and the total itemized price. If a quote needs an in-person examination to be final, it says so explicitly and states what could change it.

How do I pay — and in what currency?

You pay the clinic directly on treatment day, not us — most accept international cards; some offer bank transfer. Prices are quoted in Korean won with a reference USD figure, so you can track the exchange rate yourself.

Your trip & treatment day

Do you book flights and hotels?

No — travel booking is legally a travel agency's business, and we stay inside our facilitator scope. We do advise which district to stay in near your clinic, and tell you which partner clinics operate their own patient pickup.

What happens on the day?

Your coordinator meets you at the clinic, interprets the doctor consultation live, stays through check-in and payment, and makes sure you leave with instructions you fully understand — plus their WhatsApp for anything after.

How long do I need to stay in Seoul?

It depends on the treatment: same-day for most dermatology and injectables, about a week for eye and nose procedures, up to two weeks for facial contouring or major body surgery. Your quote states the required stay before you book flights.

Aftercare

What happens after I fly home?

Before you leave, we fix a tele-follow-up schedule with your clinic. After you land, you send progress photos at the agreed milestones; we relay them to your doctor and return the doctor's guidance — for as long as your recovery takes.

What if I have a complication back home?

Contact us immediately — we connect you with your treating doctor for guidance, help you brief a local physician if in-person care is needed, and stay involved until it's resolved. For disputes, Korea's medical-dispute mediation channels remain open to you as an international patient.
