Eye surgery in Seoul
The most requested category in Korean aesthetic surgery — refined over decades into techniques that keep your eyes looking like your eyes, only brighter and more awake.
How the right method is chosen
There is no single "best" eye surgery — the right method depends on your lid skin, muscle strength, fat volume and what you want to keep of your natural look. That's why we never let you book a procedure name; you book a diagnosis. Your surgeon examines your eyes in person (or via photo consultation first) and recommends a method — sometimes a smaller one than you expected.
Good candidates tell us
"My eyes look tired even when I'm rested" · "My lids feel heavy" · "My eyeliner disappears into a fold" · "I want a crease that survives the afternoon."
What we coordinate
Photo consultation, surgeon matching across partner clinics, a written quote, interpretation on the day, and your follow-up schedule before you fly home.
Double eyelid — non-incision & incision
Non-incision (suture method): fine sutures create a natural crease without cutting the lid. Suits thinner lids with little excess fat. Shorter downtime — most patients are camera-ready in about a week — but the crease can loosen over years.
Incision method: a fine incision lets the surgeon remove excess skin and fat and fix a permanent crease. Suits heavier lids and lasts a lifetime; visible swelling typically settles over two to four weeks, with fine-line fading continuing for months.
Consultation & design
Crease height and shape are drawn and confirmed with you sitting up, eyes open — you approve the design before anything happens.
Procedure
Local anesthesia with light sedation; typically 30–60 minutes.
Recovery in Seoul
Stitch removal (incision method) around day 5–7 — we schedule your stay so you fly home cleared by your surgeon.
Ptosis correction
When the levator muscle that lifts your eyelid is weak, eyes look sleepy no matter how rested you are — and a double eyelid alone won't fix it. Ptosis correction tightens or reattaches that muscle so the eye opens fully. It is frequently combined with double eyelid surgery in one session, which is exactly the kind of judgment call your surgeon makes at diagnosis.
Canthoplasty — corner adjustments
Epicanthoplasty (inner corner) releases the small fold that can make eyes look shorter or set apart; lateral canthoplasty (outer corner) extends the eye line horizontally. Millimeter-scale changes with outsized effect on how open the eyes read — and among the procedures where surgeon experience matters most, which is why we match you by revision rates and specialty, not by ad spend.
Under-eye rejuvenation
Dark circles and hollows are often a structural issue: orbital fat bulging above a tear-trough hollow casts a shadow no cream can remove. Fat repositioning moves that bulge into the hollow through a hidden incision inside the lower lid — no external scar — smoothing the transition from lid to cheek. Where skin laxity is the bigger issue, lower blepharoplasty removes excess skin instead. Your surgeon decides which, after examining you.
Eyes FAQ
How long do I need to stay in Seoul?
Plan for 7 days for most eye procedures — enough for surgery, one check-up and stitch removal. Non-incision methods can be shorter; your quote states the required stay before you book flights.
Will people be able to tell I had surgery?
The modern Korean aesthetic is deliberately natural — creases are designed to fit your eye shape and facial proportions. Expect friends to say you look "well-rested", not "different".
Can I combine eye surgery with other treatments?
Often yes — eye surgery is commonly paired with dermatology programs or non-surgical treatments in the same trip. Tell us everything you're considering and we'll have the surgeons plan a safe sequence.
